LA Girl Secrets via Spa Girls LA: DIY Nail Art: ROSES!

DIY Nail Art! Make some roses with LA Girl Secrets via Spa Girls LA!

Let's make some roses!



What you need:
-a base color
-two colors for the roses; white and either red or pink
-a color for leaves
-a toothpick





Open your two colors for your roses.
Drop a small blob of each colour right next to each other (it doesn't have to be perfect).




Then taking your toothpick, just swirl the two colors into each other! You don't have to be neat about it, just create some swirling patterns. Don't swirl too many times though, or you'll just end up with the colors mixing together.



Then take a small amount of green on your toothpick and draw on some leaves. 


 




Then draw a bunch more roses on your nails & top coat!

LA Girl Secrets via Spa Girls LA: DIY NAIL DECALS!

Check out these easy steps from LA Girl Secrets via Spa Girls LA on how to make your own nail decals! They are super cute and super fun!
It is a great way to get hand-painted nail art on your nails without actually having to paint on your nails! You can work on a flat surface so you have any problems!


All you need are:

-Your nail polishes 
-A sandwich bag
Just start drawing on your sandwich bag with your nail polishes. Use whatever tools you would typically use to achieve the details, like striper brushes, toothpicks etc.

*TIP* Put a topcoat of clear nail polish over & around your decal design!
Let your decals dry for 2-3 hours. After they're dry, it should be easy to just bend the sandwich bag and then peel the corner of topcoat with some tweezers! The topcoat acts as a border that you can start peeling from so that you don't ruin the actual design of your decal!


To apply, just put a coat of fresh nail polish on & stick the decal on your still-wet nail. 
**Make sure to press all the clear edges down so that you don't have any bubbly spots.

DIY Spa Treatments from LA Girl Secrets via Spa Girls LA

APPLE PEAR ANTI-WRINKLE CREAM

1 teaspoon apple juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon lime juice
2 tablespoons buttermilk
1 tablespoon rosemary leaves
3 seedless grapes1/4 pear
2 egg whites

Blend all ingredients in a blender on medium speed for 30 seconds.
Using a cotton ball, dab mixture on areas around the eyes and wherever wrinkles have developed.
Let dry, then rinse with warm water.
Use no more than 3 times a week. Follow with a moisturizer.
Cover and refrigerate immediately. 
**Shelf life: 4 days. 


CRANBERRY HONEY LIP GLOSS

Protect sensitive lips from the drying winter elements with this simple yet rich lip balm.
Delightful to wear alone or on top of your lipstick for extra shine!  

1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
10 fresh cranberries
1 teaspoon honey
1 drop of vitamin E oil

Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave for a couple of minutes or until the mixture just begins to boil.
(Bowl may also be heated in a pan of water on a stovetop).
Stir well and gently crush the berries.
Cool mixture for five minutes and then strain through a fine sieve to remove all the fruit pieces.
Stir again and set aside to cool completely.
When cool, transfer into a small portable plastic container or tin.

Apply a small amount onto your lips and remember to smile!

Jamie Wald, owner of LA Girl Secrets via Spa Girls LA, knows that Los Angeles is filled with an abundance of spas but she has one in particular that she just can’t get enough of!

The Olympic Spa in Koreatown is her destination of choice lately. It’s a place for those who dare to be a little different, and don’t mind nudity at this female only spa. If you have never been to a Korean Spa- this one is a must! Jamie has been going to the Korean spa for a long time and this week when she came back she talked about how “after the organic Akasuri scrub, and mini-massage I felt that my skin was so polished and soft.”
